Summer School: Entrepreneurship for sustainability
Learn in just one week how to develop sustainable and innovative solutions to the challenges of your entrepreneurial venture. Participants will experience the entire innovation cycle: from idea generation to the creation of a viable product, working in interdisciplinary teams and exploring solutions based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The course concludes with a presentation to experts to receive key feedback.
This intensive course is designed for students and young researchers interested in sustainable and entrepreneurial approaches.
Format: Two parts
- Online: Theory (asynchronous study, available from early December)
- Onsite: Methods and implementation (January 15–20, 2025, 6 hours per day)

Opportunity for Cross-Participation in Summer Schools
Participants in either the Chilean-German Summer School on Power-to-X (Punta Arenas, January 12-17, 2025) or the Entrepreneurship for Sustainability Summer School (Santiago de Chile, January 15-20, 2025) are invited to extend their experience by joining part of the other program at no additional cost.
Why Participate in Both Programs?
- Power-to-X Summer School (Punta Arenas): Gain in-depth knowledge about the global energy transition with a focus on green hydrogen, methanol, and other renewable energy derivatives. This program includes keynote lectures, group work, and a visit to the Haru Oni Plant, providing a hands-on understanding of sustainable energy technologies and their real-world applications.
- Entrepreneurship for Sustainability Summer School (Santiago de Chile): Develop entrepreneurial skills tailored to solving sustainability challenges. Participants will learn the full innovation cycle, from ideation to creating viable products, with a focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program is highly interactive, including workshops on design thinking, market analysis, and presentations to expert panels.

How to Join
- For Punta Arenas attendees: You can join the Entrepreneurship Summer School in Santiago from January 18-20 (Saturday to Monday), following the conclusion of the Power-to-X program.
- For Santiago attendees: You are welcome to visit Punta Arenas from January 12-14, prior to the start of the Entrepreneurship program, to attend sessions from the Power-to-X Summer School.
This cross-participation opportunity is facilitated by the collaboration between the organizers of both programs, offering a unique chance to gain insights across disciplines and expand your professional network.

- $220,000 CLP for the general public.
- $150,000 CLP for students from any educational institution and HCLA alumni.
